“Kyrvia” is a number of cultural events in the town of Ierapetra and the villages of the municipality, which start at the beginning of July and last until the end of August. They get their name from the first settler of Ierapetra, the Kyrva. “Kyrvia” have hosted performances and concerts with important representatives of contemporary Greek art and are held every summer since 1983! A variety of performances, musical, theatrical and dancing ones, take place as well as lectures, painting, photography and athletic exhibitions.
