In a unique
ten-page tribute, the leading German gastronomy magazine Essen & Trinken,
which stands out in Germany and the rest of Europe for its unique gastronomy
issues and outstanding reports discovers the richness of Cretan cuisine in Cressa Ghitonia Village, which,
as the reporter notes, "cannot be bought with gold."
Virgin oil
from the best “koronoeikes” Cretan olives, great wines from sunny vineyards,
fragrant spices, herbs and other vegetables, like they have been planted by God
Himself, are some of the images that the reporter transfers through his
extensive article from his recent visit to Crete.
During his
visit, the famous journalist Kay-Henner Menge along with the photographer
Christian Kerber, participated in the harvest of olives and they lived the
authentic Cretan “kazanema” experience - the unique production process of the
famous Cretan raki, in the village of Cressa
Ghitonia in Sfaka, in Eastern Crete.
In the
traditional Neighborhood of Cressa
Ghitonia Village and with the help of our chef Thanοs Panagiotou, they also
cooked together famous local tastes. You can see more here ! Furthermore, they tasted wines
from local varieties of Cretan vineyards and spent a day in an organic farm in
Rethymnon, which they revived all the traditional agricultural work in Crete.
The tribute
of Essen & Trinken, implemented with the support of Marketing Greece and it
is part of a series of targeted promotion actions for Greek destinations and
the authentic Greek cuisine in the German market . Cressa Ghitonia Village is always supporting such actions in
order to promote the beauties of Crete all over the world!
